Joe Ellington retires after 16 years
service
to Guaranteed Supply Company
Supervisor Bruce Anthony (shown left) pointed
out that Joe promised to give 110% when hired and followed
through on his word.
Willie Goncharow (shown
right) presented Joe with a plaque in
recognition of his service to the Company.
About 40 others from the Company were able to attend his
farewell celebration.
Best of luck to Joe and thanks for a job well done, from
all of us at GSC.

receives Award at this years WCA convention:
This year’s Waterproofing
Contractors Association Fall meeting was held September 10-13,
2009 at the Marriott Resort at Grade Dunes in
Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina.
Willie Goncharow, President of
Guaranteed Supply received The Jim & Annette Boutwell
Award which has only been awarded thirteen times since being
established over 30 years ago.
The Award is the highest honor
bestowed by the WCA and is warranted through dedication and
significant contributions to the Association at present and in
the past.
The Award is named in honor of Jim
Boutwell and his wife, Annette. The award is intended to
honor those who have enthusiastically supported the Association
and have acted as an instrumental and deserving individual
in keeping the Association moving forward.
Willie

(2009) joins past recipients Pam Harrell (2007), Greg Harrell
(2001), Steve Wright (1996), Pat Wright (1991) and nine others
in accepting this year’s award.

Twenty-five
Years Service Award
Celebrations were held in honor
of Wesley Ferree for reaching the milestone of 25 years employment with
Guaranteed Supply.
Wesley Ferree,
Vice President recently received his 25 Years of Service
Award at the 2009 Managers Meeting held in Greensboro. Kirby
Ward presented Wesley with the award and thanked him for his
long-standing commitment to the Company. Willie Goncharow
outlined how Wesley started part time while still in High School
and how his dedication has helped Guaranteed Supply to grow.
Not only has Wesley served Guaranteed Supply well, he
has also served the industry by being actively involved with PCEA where he is Treasurer of both the National and Triad
Boards.

The Fall 2009 Mangers Meeting
was held in Charlotte, North Carolina during
September 24-25, 2009. This year’s event included
visiting Gerdau Ameristeel, one of the major steel
producers in the state. The two day event centered
around our theme of “The Best Getting Better”. Our
management team has provided valuable feed back through
these meetings which helps us to know what our
customer’s needs are throughout the
Carolinas and Virginia
and what they expect in customer service. These
meetings always help us to look for efficiencies in our
operations, while allowing our team time to get to know
one another outside the normal work day.
